The Arabian Gulf Journal of Administrative Sciences (AGJAS) is a peer-reviewed international journal established in 2022 by the General Secretariat of Colleges of Administrative Sciences in the universities of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The journal publishes original theoretical and empirical research in all areas of administrative sciences and their applications, with a particular focus on issues relevant to the GCC region. The journal aims to attract high-quality research papers that contribute to advance the knowledge in the GCC region in order to enhance its competitiveness within a business environment that suffers from pressures of globalization and rapid technological change.

The journal welcomes scientific papers in all fields of administrative sciences. It particularly encourages interdisciplinary research in all relevant fields, which have implications for administration, public and private organizations, and society. The journal aims to publish full research articles, case studies, reviews, letters, and short notes according to standard publishing practices.

General Guidelines:

1. Submit the manuscript to the journal electronically via the EDAS website.
2. The manuscript is sent for peer review after acceptance by the journal’s editorial board, and after receiving the commitment form from the researcher that the research has not been previously published and will not be submitted for publication elsewhere.
3. Upon acceptance of the research for publication, a “research acceptance for publication” message will be sent to the researcher, and in case of rejection, an “apology” message will be sent.
4. In case of acceptance for publication, all copyright rights will be assigned to the journal, and the research cannot be published in any other print or electronic outlet without written permission from the journal’s editor-in-chief.
5. Contents of the research: The research should include:
• The first page should contain the research title, the name(s) of the researcher(s), affiliation, address, and the submission date of the research for publication.
• Keywords.
• An abstract in both Arabic and English (100 words for each).
• Sources and references.
• Appendices (if any).
6. The research should be written in correct Arabic or English, and the word count of the research should range between 6000-8000 words, including references, margins, tables, figures, and appendices.

Manuscript requirements:

• The page size should be A4, divided into two columns, with a space of 1 cm between the columns, and margins of 2.5 cm on the right and left sides of the page, and 3.85 cm from the top and bottom of the page.
• Leave a space of 0.5 cm at the beginning of each paragraph.
• There should be a one-line space between the end of the content of the paragraphs within the text and the titles of the subsequent paragraphs.
• Leave a one-line space before and after tables, figures, images, and the preceding and following text.
• Use Lotus Linotype font in Arabic text, size 12, and Times New Roman font in foreign text, size 10.
• Number the pages of the research using Eastern Arabic numerals (referred to as Hindi numerals 1, 2, 3... etc.).
• Equations should be numbered.
• Sources and references should be alphabetically arranged, following the APA style.

Tables:
Tables should be inserted after the paragraph they are mentioned in, as follows:

• If the width of the table is 7.5 cm, it should be placed in a single column below the paragraph directly.
• If the width of the table is more than 7.5 cm, it should be placed below the page it is mentioned on or at the top of the following page.
• Tables should be numbered using Arabic numerals, enclosed in parentheses at the far right of the page, preceded by the word “Table” and the research level: Table (1).
• The title of the table should be placed directly above the table and aligned to the far right.
• The width of the table should not exceed the margins of the page, according to the dimensions of the journal being used.
• The source of the table and any accompanying comments (if any) should be written below it.
• Non-numeric table data should be adjusted to the far right of the cell, while numeric table data should be centered within the cell.
• If the table continues on more than one page, the table header should be repeated on subsequent pages, and the phrase “continued table (...)” should be placed above it.

Images and Figures:

• Images and figures should be inserted after the paragraph they are mentioned in, as follows:
• If the width of the image is 7.5 cm, it should be placed in a single column below the paragraph directly.
• If the width of the image is more than 7.5 cm, it should be placed below the page it is mentioned on or at the top of the following page.
• Images (figures) should be numbered using Arabic numerals, enclosed in parentheses preceded by the word “Figure.”
• The title of the figure should be placed directly below the figure, centered between its borders, without exceeding two lines.
• If there is accompanying commentary on the figure or image, it should be merged with the figure and saved as an image with a resolution of not less than 300 dpi.

Equation Writing Specifications:

• Mathematical equations must be written using one of the following programs: MathType or Equation Editor.
• Equations should be numbered using Arabic numerals, enclosed in parentheses at the far left of the column opposite the equation at the research level.

Quotations:

• If the text is 3 lines or less, the quoted text must be enclosed in double quotation marks “”, followed by the text documentation as follows: (Author, Year: Page).
• If the text is more than 3 lines, the quoted text should be distinguished by writing it in the middle of the page with 1 cm margins from the beginning and end of the line. It should be enclosed in double quotation marks “”, size 12, and end with the text documentation as follows: (Author, Year: Page).

Footnotes: Footnotes should be inserted at the end of each research paper, numbered automatically according to their sequence in the text.
