Abstract:
This paper describes designing an interactive 3D hologram and putting it into application. The hologram is a globe reflection that can be used effectively as an educational tool, replacing traditional educational tools and causing a revolution in the human computer interaction field. The designing process is done in several steps. First is training a support vector machine to be able to detect human hands. After the hand detection system, the reflection of a 3D globe similar to holography is built by Pepper's Ghost. Thirdly, the hologram is designed to interact with the human hand. Thus the final work is an interacting hologram. While this interactive hologram can be applied in numerous areas, the target in this paper is the educational field. This project aims to open new doors in the world of human computer interaction.
