Abstract:
The Central Bank of Bahrain plays a pivotal role in regulating monetary and banks; these
issues are affecting the national economy and affect the country's fnancial affairs. Therefore,
this study came to examine the establishment and functions of the entity that regulates
monetary and banking affairs in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
The Monetary Council of Bahrain was established before the end of the British Mandate
accompanying the presence of the Bahrain Monetary Agency to the establishment of the
Central Bank of Bahrain.
This study deals with the founding stages and responsibilities of the monetary regulating
entity through analyzing the texts of successive legislation, professional practices, by linking
them to economic, fnancial, and monetary theories.
This study is divided into two topics:
First topic: The Establishment of the Central Bank of Bahrain.
Second topic: The Functions of the Central Bank of Bahrain.
