dc.description.abstract The present study aimed to study the effectiveness of a family counseling program in improving the family quality of life for women headed household in the kingdom of Bahrain. The researchers used the quasi-experimental approach of the two groups, experimental and control, to determine the effectiveness of the program in the improving the family quality of life for the women headed household (WHH). The sample of the study consisted of (22) WHH who were divided into equal groups: experimental and control groups. The program consisted of )10( sessions. The tools of the study included a measure of family quality of life prepared by the researchers to measure family quality of life among WHH, in addition to the family counseling program. The study used several statistical tests: the average grades, the Mann-Whitney test to calculate the differences between two independent groups, and the Wilcoxon test to calculate the differences between two related groups. The results of the study revealed that there were statistically signifcant differences between the experimental and control groups in favor of the experimental group. It also revealed the existence of statistically signifcant differences between the pre and post and trace measurements in the experimental group, indicating the success of the program used to improve the family quality of life for the WHH in the kingdom of Bahrain. en_US
