Abstract:
Public transport faces severe problems due to rapid growth in population, especially in the most populated countries like China, India, and the USA, and so on. Most buses are found overcrowded, uncoordinated due to poor management; ultimately, passengers are suffering a lot. Due to irregularity of the vehicle maintenance and over the speed of the vehicle results in severe environmental damage and unnecessarily loss of life, health risk, and so on. To overcome such issues, this particular paper proposes an idea of an advanced vehicle management system based on the Internet of things and Artificial Intelligence to eradicate. It helps to estimate the passenger's strength in the bus and hence, display the vacant seats available on the customized APP at the user ends. This will assist the user in deciding on secure and sophisticated travel. In addition to this, advanced sensors have been utilized to limit the vehicle's speed and control the pollution level. Furthermore, the experimental prototype has been implemented and tested in the local buses to validate the system. Hence, it is observed that the designed model has the significant potential and capability to overcome the above issues.
