Information System Analysis on Cargo Supply Chain Shipment for Decision Making in Bahrain Logistics Zone

Abstract

Transitional country economy vastly relies on the port logistics service industry. In Bahrain, Khalifa Bin Salman Port immensely contributed throughout the economic zone where information systems thoroughly engaged in logistic activities. The performance of port logistic management in supply chain is highly dependent on the decision-making process, which is equipped with transshipment data. Analytical port transshipment data bear the improvement and meaningful activities within the logistic region. The aim of this research finding the decision-making process and how information system is involved for further direction with the port logistic in supply chain approach. This study uses statistical observation methods to inspect the port logistic activities for decision-making, whereas the information system entirely supports for comparison. Analytical research contributes to logistic performance when the decision-making process becomes crucial at port logistic activities that flow as vehicle comparison in the Bahrain Port Logistic Zone. Implication of the research also influences logistic performance in terms of cost, time, and reliability by sorting out the appropriate decision-making. So, the result of actual decision making generate from short- and long-term collaboration agreements among companies of previous transshipment dataset.
