Abstract:
The study aimed at developing friendship skills among kindergarten children in
Dhahran, designing a program based on )visits to the King Abdul-Aziz Center for
World Culture, narrative activities, and artistic activities(, and knowing its effectiveness
in developing friendship skills among children. The sample was deliberately chosen
from the children of Riyadh, the third level, in the Kindergarten, in Dhahran, and their
number reached )60( children, whose ages ranged between )5-6( years, and they were
divided into two groups, the experimental and control group of )30( children and girl.
The study followed the experimental approach. The equivalence of the two groups
was verifed in terms of age, gender, intelligence, and the degree of friendship skills.
The study tools included the man’s drawing intelligence test for good enough Harris,
the proposed program )the researcher's preparation(, the pictorial friendship skills
scale for kindergarten children )the researcher's preparation(, The results showed the
validity of the frst hypothesis, as there are statistically signifcant differences between
the mean scores of the experimental group members on friendship skills in the two
measurements before and after implementing the program, and in favor of the post
measurement, as well as there are statistically signifcant differences between the mean
scores of the control and experimental groups of kindergarten children on a skill scale
Friendship after implementing the program for the beneft of the experimental group,
and the study recommends generalizing the application of the proposed program to
kindergartens due to its effectiveness.
