dc.description.abstract Blood units are a sensitive, rare, and important resource in the health care system, which must be allocated to beneficiaries accurately, quickly, and efficiently. Unfortunately, despite the positive impact of using modern technologies to improve and facilitate the work of blood unit management systems, but these systems still suffer due to is the use of traditional methods of allocating blood units from many problems, obstacles, and limitations. Where, these traditional methods rely on human intervention and traditional supply chain algorithms in making blood unit allocation decisions. In this paper, we propose a new method for allocating blood units, which is the major part of an integrated real-time system in a cloud environment, supported by smart device applications. The proposed method uses a hybrid of real-time algorithms and some modern supply chain principles to computerize and optimizes the allocation operations. Which, it aims to eliminate the need for human intervention in making decisions for allocating blood units and to overcome the problems, obstacles, and limitations of the current traditional methods. In addition to increasing the performance of the blood unit allocation process and eliminating the possibility of human error.as well as making the allocation of blood units more comprehensive by providing the possibility of expanding the proposed system geographic zone to include a number of blood banks within the health care system. This proposed method was built as part of the proposed system for managing blood units in blood banks within the health care system of Nineveh Governorate, Iraq. en_US
