dc.description.abstract The Kingdom of Bahrain has introduced a new bankruptcy law as it initiates a series of new legal reforms aimed at supporting sustainable economic development plans and promotes foreign investment opportunities that always look for countries with a supportive legislative structure if foreign enterprises are exposed to economic or financial crises. The new reorganization and bankruptcy law (No. 22 of 2018) has Included measures to allow the reorganization of the company where the management can remain in place and continue its business operations instead of bankruptcy and liquidation. The aim of this paper is to study the legal aspects of the process through which the financial well-being and viability of a debtor’s business can be restored and the business continue to operate, using various means possibly including debt forgiveness, debt rescheduling and sale of the business or parts of it.
