Abstract:
The present study aimed to determine the extent of classroom student- teachers
possession at Yarmouk University the skills of teaching physical education for the
frst three grades students from the point of view of the cooperative teachers. To
achieve the objective of the study, the researchers designed a questionnaire consisting
of 40 items divided into three main areas: planning, implementation, and evaluation
of the physical education session. The sample of the study was chosen intentionally. It
included all the cooperative teachers in the frst semester of 2018/2019. The results of
the study showed that the skills studied were all at a high level of assessment. There
are some limited items at a moderate level. However, the results did not show a weak
level in any of the study items. The results also showed that the students’ gender and
the schools in which they were applied did not have a statistical effect, while there
were statistically signifcant differences in the feld of planning skills and in the degree
to which the students possess the skills of this feld as a whole due to the effect of
the cumulative average. Moreover, There were no statistically signifcant differences
)α ≤0.05) in the implementation and evaluation skills due to the student cumulative
average. The study recommended that there is a need to train students - teachers to
activate and prepare extracurricular activities that develop the various motor abilities
of students in the frst three grades.
