Methods of Parental Treatment Techniques and their Relation to Family Communication from the Point of View of Sample of Female Citizen Students at University of Sharjah

dc.description.abstract The aim of this study was to identify the relationship between methods of family treatment technique and family communication in Emirati families from the point of view of the local students at the University of Sharjah, as well as the contribution of each methodon family formation to predict the level of family communication. The study sample consisted of )259( students )female( from the United Arab Emirates who were selected deliberately in the academic year 2017 - 2018. The family communication questionnaire was applied to the sample as well as the methods of family upbringing questionnair technique. The results indicate that for positive family treatment of education, the most common pattern in Emirati family treatment is the pattern of dialogue, then the democratic pattern, and the lowest is the pattern of responsibility. For the negative method of family treatment techniques, the least common pattern was the discrimination pattern, then the negligence pattern, and the last was the overprotection pattern. The results showed that the family communication in the UAE family is generally positive. The results also indicated that the correlation coefficient between total score of familytreatment techniques and family communication is (0.312) which is statistically significant at (α=0.05(. en_US
