dc.description.abstract | The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of a proposed academic development program based on learning circles and series of workshops, to increase students' satisfaction with faculty members’ skills. The study used the semi-experimental method by using the pre-post tests for peer review model assessment through staff members' visits, and for assessment questionnaire for teaching skills. The study sample consisted of 60 representatives )30 male - 30 female( of all the departments in the deanship Statistical analyses was undertaken using SPSS V 21.0 )SPSS Inc, Chicago, IL, USA). Paired sample t-tests were calculated. as well as Blakes Modified Gain Ratio. The results indicated statisticalsignificant differences (P < 0.01) between pre-post tests to the advantage of the post tests for both peer review model assessments and the students' satisfaction with the staff skills. The researchers recommend implementing the academic development program proposed by the university's quality assurance program in other colleges and spread the usage peer review model assessment for all deanship courses to support teaching skills. | en_US |
