Abstract:
The study aimed to identify the oral reading learning disabilities of fourth
and fifth primary stage female pupils in Al-Ahsa province and its relations
to the family socio-economic status. The researcher used the descriptive
methodology.
The study sample consisted of )73( female pupils. The researcher applied a
measure of oral reading learning disabilities designed by her, in addition to a
measure of Family Socio-Economic Status designed by )Abu Mustafa, 2008(
which was modified by the researcher. The results showed that the availability
of oral reading learning disabilities is )70%( and the dominance degree of the
oral reading learning disabilities is above the average. In addition, there are no
significant statistical differences of the oral reading learning disabilities among
pupils, according, to neither class grade fourth or fifth, nor to the pupil's birth
range among the members of their families. As well as, the results showed that
there is no correlation of oral reading learning disabilities with the pupil's age,
or with the family socio-economic status.
