Some Theoretical aspects oe Discourse Analysis in Modern Linguistics

Abstract

Western linguistics has evolved immensely in the field of language in its wide range of usages, hence, research has shifted from the level of sentence to the text which became the major target of modern linguistics thinking.and within the same perspective the interest given to the communicative, persuasive, and aesthetic objectives of texts has widened the systemic forms and the generating principles of texts in situational communication the latter gave birth to textual linguistics or say textual grammar whose aim is doing research into the forms of cohesion and coherence inside texts; the very thing that exercised a great of influence on Arabic linguistics of texts-the sbject matter of this study.
