The Effectiveness of a Training Program in Enhancing the Alphabet Pronunciation of Children with Academic Learning Disabilities

dc.description.abstract The study aimed to explore the effectiveness of a training program in enhancing the alphabet pronunciation of children with academic learning disabilities, The sample of the study consisted of 40 children, both males and females, who were intentionally selected from learning disabilities rooms in Mafraq Governorate. The sample was randomly divided into two groups: 20 children in the experimental group )11 males and 9 females( and 20 children in the control group )10 males and 10 females(. The researchers tools and their validity and reliability were verified. Results indicated that there were statistically significant differences at (α≤0.05) between the two groups )experimental and control( on the posttest of the pronunciation of consonant letters, letters with movements, and the differences in favor of the experimental group. There were also no statistically significant differences on posttest at the )α≤0.05) in the alphabet pronunciation of consonant letters in the control and experimental groups according to gender. However, there were statistically significant differences on posttest (α≤0.05) in pronuncing the letters with movements in the control group according to gender in favour of females. en_US
