dc.description.abstract The aim of this study is to discover the status of educational and information technology in learning resources centers in the schools of the Kingdom of Bahrain from the learning resources specialists’ point of view. Several questions have been raised such as: what is the status of the use of educational and information technology in the learning resources centers in schools of the Kingdom of Bahrain? What are the opinions of the learning resources specialists about use of educational and information technology in learning resources centers? What are the difficulties that affect the use of educational and information technology in schools? What are the suggestions which may be taken into consideration to improve the use of educational and information technology in schools? Two hypotheses have been stated to discover if there are differences between the opinions of the specialists according to sex and the educational stage. The sample consisted of (62) learning resources specialists from various learning stages. Descriptive analytical techniques were used for data collection. A questionnaire was designed to discover the specialists’ opinions about the status of educational and information technology in schools. Results indicated that the status of the use of educational and information technology in learning resources centers is satisfactory. It was discovered that educational and information technology was available, satisfactory, efficient and easy to be produced in schools. On the other hand, it was discovered that there was a lack of maintenance, lack of productivity of information technology programs, and insufficient financial support. en_US
