dc.description.abstract The aim of this study was to inquire about the extent of utilization of communication skills by Female students in the Islamic Study specialization at the College of Education of Sultan Qaboos University. The researchers used an observation method to collect data and analyzed the data using average, standard deviations, T test and ANOVA. The results indicated that the students used all of the communication skills and there was a significant difference in favour of using verbal communication skills. In addition, there was no significant differences in the use of these skills in a B.A or a Diploma program. Also, there was no significant differences in the use of these skills in microteaching or teaching practice and excellent students showed better utilization than good or average students. The researchers made some recommendations among which is to put more emphasis on communication skills whether it is verbal or non-verbal during training students in teaching. en_US
