dc.description.abstract |
This paper addresses the implementation of an on-line web based simulation experiment. It explicates the development and integration of web-based tools to support introductory science courses and demonstrates how tools like Flash and Java can be used in developing online simulation courses. The paper first provides a basic overview of the on-line simulation approach. Next, it illustrates the system that was considered in this study. The paper then describes the distributed object-computing environment that has been employed in the study, including the specialized displays that can be accessed by a remote participant using the services of the Web. |
