dc.description.abstract The study aimed at revealing the effectiveness of the design of e-learning using problem-based learning strategy on medical students’ achievement and attitude towards the learning method in the course of anatomy, for the third year students at the College of Medicine and Medical Sciences, Arabian Gulf University. The experimental method used to conduct this research was quasi-experimental. The sample consisted of 122 students who studied Anatomy (Digestive and urinary systems unit), where the students of the experimental group (69), have studied anatomy using electronic content using problem-based learning strategy in virtual learning environment. The control group was 53 students who studied anatomy using face to face method. A test for academic achievement and students' attitudes toward learning method questionnaire was used to verify the hypotheses. The results showed that the use of e-learning designed by problem-based learning strategy has a positive effect on the academic achievement of students and their attitude toward this learning method in favor of the experimental group. en_US
