Building a Questionnaire to Identify the Reasons of Fans Attendance Diminution of Bahraini Soccer League: Factor Analysis

Abstract

The aim of this study is to design a questionnaire to identify the reasons of fans attendance diminution of Bahraini Soccer League. A quantitative method that identified 28 statements relevant to the factors, as agreed by experts, was administered to 150 individuals to identify their opinions using the initial questionnaire. Factor analysis )Oblimin rotation with Kaiser normalization( was used to identify the finally induced factors. Results acknowledged five factors in light of specific conditions which were interpreted and labeled. The first factor labeled as ‘Support for Matches Success’ consisted of 17 statements, later shortened to 9 statements. The second factor labeled as ‘Matches Success’ consisted of 3 statements, while the third factor labeled as ‘Fans’ consisted of 2 statements. The fourth factor labeled as ‘Players’ contained 3 statements, while the fifth factor labeled as ‘Coaches’ enclosed 3 statements.
