Abstract:
The focus of this study was to identify the academic utilization of the internet by students in the medical college in Jordanian Science & Technology University. This study also explored the most important difficulties faced by the sample of the study during their internet usage. The sample consisted of 138 male & female students whom were randomly selected from the population of the study. The researcher developed an instrument consisted of 30 items divided into two domains: using the internet in academic activities, and the difficulties that students face in using the internet. Results indicated that: the mean scores of items in regard of students’ use the internet in academic activities got the highest mean score. As for the difficulties that students face (while are using the internet), were in moderate level. Students considered the slowness of the internet is the highest difficulties that they face. Results showed also no significant differences in regard to the difficulties that students face (while ate using the internet) related to sex and academic year. In regard to the benefit of using the internet in academic activities, results showed no statistical differences related to sex and academic year variables.
