Abstract:
The purpose of the current study was to investigate levels of self efficacy among secondary schools students at Bani Knana region in light of their gender and academic achievement. Sample of the study consisted of (128) female and (152) male students. The sample was selected using cluster sampling procedures, representing (10%) of the population. For data collection, the study used self efficacy test. Results of the study indicated moderate levels of self efficacy among secondary school students at Bani Knana region. There were significant differences in self efficacy levels due to academic achievement in favor of high achievement students, while no gender differences were found. The study recommended the need of schools personnel to pay more attention to self efficacy among low academic achievement students to promote this psychological trait among them to be more able in facing future difficulties and problems. Future research is needed examining self efficacy levels among students in different school and university levels.
