Counseling Needs as Percieved by Pupils and their Parents

dc.description.abstract The aim of this Study was to compare the counseling needs for pupils as reported by them and their parents, the sample of the study consisted of (252) pupils, (115 males and 137 females) and their parents as well. Their age ranges between (13-15). To achieve the purpose of the study the researcher developed a questionnaire to assess the counseling needs. The psychometric was granted. The study results showed that the physical, families, and social needs got the high score, according to pupils view, whereas, the emotional, social and physical needs got the high score, according to the parents view. In general, the results showed that both Pupils and Parents rank counseling needs. It also showed that there were significant differences due to the achievement level. Moreover, the results of the study didn’t show any significant differences due to gender. The study recommends to understand the counseling needs for pupils. en_US
