Evaluation of the Efficiency of Information Technology Systems in the Colleges of Applied Sciences in Sultanate of Oman

Abstract

This study aimed at evaluating Efficiency of Information Technology Systems in the Colleges of Applied Sciences in Oman. To achieve the objectives of this study, the researchers have developed an evaluation model to measure the degree of Efficiency of Information Technology Systems in these colleges. Based on (Al-Jaraiyda s model, 2006).The study was applied on deans and their Assistants Deans and Heads of Departments all of whom above summed up to (56). Results have shown that the degree of the Efficiency of Information Technology Systems in Colleges of Applied Sciences in Sultanate of Oman is high. In addition No statistical differences were found in terms among the evaluation averages of the objects of the study to the degree of the Efficiency of Information Technology Systems in Colleges of Applied Science in Sultanate of Oman due to educational qualification, work nomination. Then, the Researchers introduced the following recommendations:-The necessity of continuous updating of the information of the employees working Colleges of Applied Sciences. The necessity to construct application soft wares and designing them by the personnel in of Information Technology Systems inn Colleges of Applied Sciences working in these Colleges.
