dc.description.abstract The aim of this study was to introduce a strategy for constructing criterion-referenced diagnostic tests based on the Comprehensive and Detailed Specifications Approach for describing the behavioral domain. The strategy consisted of three main steps. First, describing the behavioral domain in a detailed and comprehensive manner. This step includes identifying the aim and context the test, in addition to the working group and the targeted population. Also, it includes a thorough analysis the domain to be tested and hierarchic organization of its components, proving the validity of the hierarchy, and preparing detailed item specifications. Second, constructing items using the “model item”. Finally, reviewing, revising, and validating the items. en_US
