Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to identify the managerial function and the competencies that public committee for youth and sports managerial staff must have. The study also sought to identify the practice degree of managerial functions and competencies as perceived by management staff at sport thins clubs and centers member at the committee and the identify the differences in the study sample point of view in their practicing degree of managerial functions and competencies attributed gender qualification and experience. The study sample consisted of 147 managerial members at sport clubs and youth centers in Kuwait, and was chosen by random, categorical method The researchers prepared a questionnaire, to a chive the study purposes. The questionnaire consisted of 72 items and included six major managerial files. The study concluded to the following results: - Preparing a list of managerial functions and competencies needed for managerial staff at general committee of youth and sport at the state of Kuwait. - The managerial staff of the general committee of youth and sports at the state of Kuwait have the functions and competencies under study with a moderate level. - There was statistically significant differences on all study fields attributed to gender, in favor of males. - There was no statistically significant differences in managerial staff of general committee of youth and sports practicing degree of managerial function attributed to experience in all study fields.
