Analysis of the Faculty Members’ Attitudes Towards Using IT Applications in the University Education and its Relation with Some Variables

dc.description.abstract This study aimed at revealing the attitudes of the faculty members in the Hashemite University towards using IT applications in the university instruction, and identifying the differences of these attitudes according to the academic rank, sex, teaching experience and experience in IT. The sample consisted of (161) faculty members who were chosen randomly. The tool was a 44-item questionnaire, developed to measure these attitudes, and was of sufficient validity and reliability. The results revealed positive attitudes on the part of the faculty members, and there weren’t significant differences attributed to the academic rank, teaching experience, and experience in IT. Yet, there were such differences attributed to sex and in favour of females. Eventually, the results provided some recommendations such as: encouraging the faculty members to use IT applications in the university instruction. en_US
