Difference in Self Esteem Level Among Mu'tah University Students due to Gender, Major and Academic Study Level

Abstract

This study aimed at investigating the differences at Mu’tah University students’ self-esteem level accordance to some variables. The sample consisted of (662) (282 male, 380 female). Among of them 250 students with final admonition and 412 regular students. The sample members were subjected to self-esteem scale designed for the purposes of this study. The accumulative averages were checked out from the department of registration and admission. The results of the study show that there was significant difference in the level of self-esteem between the student with final admonition and regular students. Also there were significant differences in self-esteem due to study level, where there were no significant differences due to gender, major and the interaction between them. Consequently the findings have inspired some recommendations to be considered in the future.
