Abstract:
This study aimed at investigating the status of the administrative communication among the heads of academic departments and its relationship with the members of academic staff organizational commitment at Al-Quds and Bethlehem Universities from the members of academic staff point of view. The tool of the study included two questionnaires. The first for measuring the status of the administrative communication, and the second for measuring the level of organizational commitment. The two questionnaires were distributed among (17) members of academic staff. The status of the administrative communication at Al-Quds and Bethlehem universities was found to be “moderate. The results also indicted that the level of organizational commitment of members of academic staff at Al-Quds and Bethlehem universities was found to be high. No significant differences were found out among the statistical means administrative communication and organizational commitment among the heads of academic departments due to university, gender, faculty, academic qualification, and experiences. A strong positive significant relationship was found between the administrative communication of the heads of academic department and organizational commitment of the members of academic staff at both universities.
