Abstract:
The purpose of this study was to estimate the performance of the faculty members at Al-Isra University for their teaching duties from their own point of view and their students. A questionnaire was distributed to (59) faculty members and (271) students. The results were as follows: 1- Evaluation of the faculty members on the four domains was rather high for themselves; whereas the students’ evaluation was closer to the neutral. 2- There is the statistically significant difference between the evaluation of the faculty members for themselves and the students’ in favor of the faculty members. 3- None statistically significant difference according to gender on the evaluation of the students to the faculty members performance. 4- There is statistical significance on the degree of evaluation of both the faculty members and the students on the performance of the faculty members. Turkey’s Test showed that there was statistically significance between the faculty members of Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Education on the first domain of the study in favor of the faculty members of Education. Also there was statistically significance between the Faculty of Law on the same domain in favor of the Faculty of Law. 5- There is statistically significance on the importance of the domains of the study from the viewpoint of both the faculty members and the students.
