dc.description.abstract The purpose of this study was to determine the contribution of Body Mass (BM) in the prediction of Body Water Mass (BWM), Fat Free Mass (FFM), Fat Mass (FM) and Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) of Male Athletes. The sample consisted of (50) volunteer athletes from An-Najah University and national teams in Nablus District. All measures conducted using (Tanita TBF-410) body composition analyzer in physical education measurement lab at An-Najah University. The results revealed that the means of (BM), (BWM), (FFM), (FM) and (RMR) were respectively: 69.54 kg, 44.92 kg, 60.85 kg, 8.76 kg and 1755.48 kcal/day. Also, the results of simple regression (R2) lead to the development of four equations for the prediction of (BWM), (FFM), and (FM) and (RMR), using (BM) as predictor. Based on the study findings the researcher recommended the usage of the above equations in measuring (BWM), (FFM), (FM) and (RMR) depending on (BM) as independent variable. en_US
