Abstract:
This study aims at identifying school administration role in activating students’ participation in the school internal sport activity as perceived by physical education teachers. It also aims at identifying the extent to which this role in activating students’ participation differs according to teachers’ gender, age, educational qualification and residence. A questionnaire consisting of 38 items, covering five domains (internal activity planning, activity management, activity exportation and presentation, facilities, and incentives) which the researchers have developed and established its validity and reliability, was used to collect data from (116) male and female physical education teachers at Irbid School District. The study revealed that the school administration role in activating students’ participation in the school was highly effective on all of the study domains separated and combined. The study also revealed that the variables have nonstatistically significant differences except for the gender, where statistically significant difference has been found in which females out-performed males.
