Difficulties that facing female students of Physical Education, toward majoring volleyball at Yarmouk University

Abstract

This study aimed to identify the difficulties that facing the female students of physical education, when majoring volleyball at Yarmouk University, and to identify the effect of )the educational year, and the level of sports participations( in determining the level of those difficulties. The researchers used the descriptive approach for the compatibility with the aims and nature of the study. The study sample was )92( female students, who were selected with stratified sampling. A questionnaire, which was prepared by )Naji, 1995( was used to collect the data, the questionnaire consisted of (33) items, and measured (6) domains: (sport and financial potential, health, Psychological, social, academic and religious(. The study results showed that the difficulties encountering the involvements of female’s students in the volleyball major at Yarmouk University were moderate but the highest impact was related to sports, financial and religious difficulties, while the lowest impact was from health and physical domains. In addition, the results showed that there were no significant differences in determining the levels of difficulties in regard to the educational year, the level of sports participation, showed a significant effect. The researchers recommended that female students must be more aware to the importance of participation volleyball in the classes, and the difficulties should be solved.
