dc.description.abstract A new series of novel N- (4-tert-amino-2-butynyl) dibenzazepine were prepared and characterized by elemental analysis and spectroscopic techniques. Their effect on pentobarbitone sleeping-time in mice was investigated. All compounds showed an increase in the duration of hypnosis induced by pentobarbitone as reflected in prolongation of the sleeping-time relative to the control animals as a result of Monoaminooxidase inhibitory activity en_US
