dc.description.abstract Many countries have become receptive to the principle of dual citizenship and has legislation that allows citizens to carry the State of nationality or several other countries. There is no doubt that a lot of the problems arising from dual citizenship, especially political ones, which are related to the election and nomination and assuming positions of sovereignty. Although the constitutional legislator acknowledged the principle of plurality yet, it is restricted, and this restriction is in respect of the sovereign position or taking a high security position. In this case, one is not allowed dual citizenship and he has to give up the other nationality. The Bahraini legislator has added special requirement for appointment to the Shura Council, or to run for the House of Representatives, which is to be appointed to the Shura Council or of a candidate for membership of the House of Representatives, a candidate must not hold another citizenship. Yet, Bahraini citizen who enjoy Bahraini nationality and another nationality of one of the Member States of the cooperation Council for the Gulf states are exception. en_US
