dc.description.abstract Many international arbitral awards considered host states bound by providing foreign investment and foreign investors with physical and legal protection. That obligation arrived to be one of the most important principles in international foreign investment law, called Full protection and security. Technological development has expanded the concept of security, especially with the appearance of Cyber -terrorism, threatening the safety of electronic assets of foreign investments by transnational cyber-attack ,thus the concept of cyber security has been appeared in that field , coupled with an inquiry about the role of the host state to provide foreign investment with that type of protection . The remarkable political events in 2011 inspired some Arab governments to face up the protesters by blocking e-services within the territory of the State, which led to prejudice the cyber security of foreign investments in these countries. The article attempts to identify the content of the obligation of host state to protect cyber security of foreign investment, and the limits of this obligation, by analyzing different Arab legislations , international agreements and arbitral awards in that field . en_US
