Abstract:
This study aims to identify the socio- cultural orientations and psychological phenomenon explaining the choice for marriage, the strengths and weaknesses of each theory or orientation, and the degree of contribution of any theory in the enrichment of sociological thought and research presentations, that is to say, taking advantage of these different theoretical orientations to shed light on the phenomenon of choice for marriage. The most famous theories: the similarity theory, place theory, and Freud's theory.
