dc.description.abstract This study tries to examine an aspect of the relationship between the narrating character and narration which is presented through the novel and the effect of that on narrative harmony and narrating character behaviors. This is presented in one of the fiction models representing the phenomenon, namely, “When Wolves Grow Old” novel by Jamal Najy who tried to present condemnation depictions of social behaviors and phenomena which have corrupted both humanity and social structure since the beginning of 1960s. It is an expression of the novelist’s boredom with the unity of narrative sound and verb and an aspect of modernization in a traditional novel. en_US
