The Rest of Amr Bin Zaid Al Khoulani’s Poetry Collection and Investigation

Abstract

The study seeks to explore one of Yemen poets, whose poetry and news in public literature collections were diminished. Not many collections by those working in investigation mentioned them such as the Eklil ,for example, which contains poetry and news for more than one Yemeni tribe such as Khawlan tribe, to which belonged Amr Bin Zaid Al Khawlani whose news were collected by l Hamdani who wrote the rest of his poems and news which became unreachable to the public like as precious things. When they were found, a lot of good was discovered in them.But despite his knowledge, he caused distortion in many parts of it. So I decided to take these poems out of The Eklil manuscript to avoid falling in what others did. My work started with the name of the poet, his kinship, his tribe and its location. Then, I dealt witht his life and the events he encountered, following the sources and references which didn’t help me with his poetry gathered by Al Hamdani in the Eklil. After that, I covered the subjects of his poetry, its sources, its documentation and its loss, depending on what I could observe of conclusive evidences that help research. After that in the conclusion the results of the study were presented.
