dc.description.abstract The present study aimed at finding out the effectiveness of a brain-based learning program in teaching psychology for the acquisition of its concepts and for the development of problem solving skills for a sample of secondary school female students in Egypt. A unit of "Motives and Emotions" had been developed in light of brain-based learning in the form of a student book and a teacher's guide. A test of concepts of psychology was used besides a problemsolving scale. The sample of the study consisted of 80 female students enrolled at New- Minia Secondary school. 40 students for the experimental group and 40 others for the control group. Pre-testing was conducted on both groups then the experimental group was taught using the suggested program which was based on brain-based learning while the control group was taught using the conventional method of teaching. Post testing was conducted on both groups. Results of the study revealed that there was a significant statistical difference between mean scores obtained by the experimental group and the control one favoring the experimental group on the post administration of the test of psychological concepts and the problem solving scale. en_US
