dc.description.abstract The study sheds light on the educational supervision program in the College of Education at the University of Bahrain in regard to its difficulties and problems that are impeding its progress. The aim of the study is to suggest a proposal for supervising student teachers which is based on modern trends in teachers education and educational supervision. These trends call for in preparing future teachers, the emergence of new roles for classroom teachers, and the establishment of professional schools. The suggested proposal is based on the above trends and its parameters are the following: 1. Establishment of school-university partnership in regard to supervising student teachers. 2. Provision of early field experience at the starting point of the teacher education program. 3. Preparation of student teaching portfolio. 4. Redesigning the program of student teacher supervision. 5. Improving evaluation methods of student teachers. Each parameter includes its own objectives and the necessary procedures for its application. en_US
