dc.description.abstract This study aims to investigate self concept level for preparatory year students in Al - Baha University, and how this concept differs depending on the academic specialization of the student and his place of residence. The sample of the study consisted of (120) students at the preparatory year in Al-Baha University. To achieve the goal of the study, the researcher developed self concept scale to measure self concept level of the students which consisted of (67) items. The self concept scale was applied during the hrst semester of the academic year of (1433/1434). The results of the study revealed that the sample of the study showed a medium level of self concept at the total score level, the results also indicated that there were statistical significant differences in self concept level due to the academic specialization in favor of scientific specialization. The results also revealed that there were no statistical significant differences in self concept level due to place of residenc. en_US
