dc.description.abstract The study aims at identifying the effectiveness of a proposed training program based on active learning and its strategies in changing the beliefs about it for teachers of Geography of the sixth primary grade in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The study's sample consisted of 33 teachers. The study tool was represented in a measure of beliefs prepared by the researcher. The study reached statistically significant differences between the average of the marks of the experimental group individuals before and after applying the training program. This indicates that the proposed training program has had an effective influence on the experimental group in changing beliefs positively about active learning. The researcher recommended the necessity for training teachers of Geography in the different stages on using active learning strategies with their students. en_US
