Unacceptable Behavior from Teachers Point of View Amongst Students at the Primary Stage in the Kingdom of Bahrain

dc.description.abstract This Study aims at identifying unacceptable behavior, from a teachers’ point of view, amongst third and sixth grade students of the primary schools in Bahrain. (249) teachers, representing (4) governates, responded to a questionnaire consisting of (45) items pertaining to four different aspects of unacceptable behaviors. The study revealed that the prevailing unacceptable behavior was towards both the classroom properties and fellow students in the classroom. The least common unacceptable behavior was towards the classroom teachers. The most prevailing unacceptable behaviors was among male students, compared to female students, especially in the city of Sitra. No significant statistical differences, in terms of the prevailing unacceptable behavior, were found between students of grades 3 and 6. There are more instances of unacceptable behavior when the teacher is of the opposite sex to the students, i.e. a female teacher with male students. en_US
