dc.description.abstract The aim of the current study is to investigate the role of mediating factors such as parental responses in the relationship between exposure to trauma and social phobic disorders. The study was conducted by using samples of 89 children which included 47 boys and 42 girls; mean age =13.09, SD=2.53 and 89 parents of 34 fathers and 55 mothers; mean age=46.99, SD= 7.42. The relationship between exposure to trauma and social phobic disorders was mediated by parental responses Specifically, the anxiety level of parents, was partially supported by parental stress and lack of emotional warmth, but not parental anxiety or other mental health problems, which were found to contribute to this association. en_US
