Listening Skills among High School Students in Public Schools in Tulkarm

dc.description.abstract This study proposed to determine the nature of the values system among Yarmouk University student, and to examine the effects of gender, college type, family percapita, father education, and students study level. (952) students were randomly selected from university requirement course (Military Sciences) in which students from all university colleges and different study levels were represented. To collect data, a scale of values system were developed, validity and reliability of the scale were ensured. Means, standard deviations, 5-WAYS ANOVA, 5-WAYS MANOVA, were used to analyze collected data. The study pointed out that the students values systems are arranged as follows: religion, political, knowledge, social, economic, and artistic subsequently. Significant differences were reported and contribute to student gender and fathers level of education in the values of religion, knowledge, economic and artistic, while these differences were in favor of female students in values of religion, knowledge, political, and artistic. Also, outcomes of the study revealed that student of fathers with Bachelor degrees or less scored higher than students of fathers with Masters Degree or higher in religion, economic, and political values. Finally, students of fathers with Diploma or Bachelor degree scored higher than students of fathers with General Education degree or less and with Masters, degree or higher.
