dc.description.abstract The Multilateral Arab public joint companies (MAPJC) is one of the choices of Arab countries to enhance their unity and develop their economy. The Arab Countries through OAPEC and AEUC created many joint companies in different sectors. These investments are hosted in different countries, though they are subject to similar provisions. As European countries did to their public Joint Companies, the Arab countries, granted their joint investments companies many privileges and immunities in order to ensure its independence and proper functioning to fulfill their tasks and achieve their goals . The purpose of this paper is to explain the scope and content of the privileges and immunities granted to the Arab joint companies and to illustrate some of the practical legal aspects on the basis of examples of the international precedents. This paper is started with a brief background about the concept of privileges and immunities in the First Part point. The Second Part point discusses the extent to which the Arab joint companies are exempted from national law, in particular host state. The Third Part Point discuss the joint companies’ immunity from jurisdiction and enforcement procedures. Finally, the Fourth Part point deals with the privileges and immunities granted to the members of the joint companies’ executive boards and their staff. en_US
