dc.description.abstract This study addresses the concept of (oddness) as one of many other grammaticality judgments used by Sibawieh to measure the grammatical acceptability of different linguistic structures. The study tackles the concept of (oddness) based on the words of Sibawieh himself and the meaning of (oddness) in other linguistic lexicons taking into consideration other grammaticality judgment concepts involved in (Al-Kitab) such as no-existing structures, inadequacy, and awkwardness. The study provides a lot of examples representing the concept of oddness which are classified into four categories. The most prominent results are then revealed along with the most important criteria that Sibawieh used to judge a given structure as an odd one. en_US
